DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the procurement, receipt, storage, distribution, tracking, and control of Environmental Services supplies, linens, equipment, and related materials. The position serves as the primary liaison between EVS, Purchasing, Accounting, vendors, and hospital departments to maintain appropriate inventory levels, support cost-effective purchasing, improve inventory accuracy, and ensure uninterrupted operations. The Inventory Coordinator supports EVS leadership through inventory reporting, vendor management, process improvement, equipment tracking, regulatory readiness, and departmental operational support.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma (GED) and a minimum of one (1) year experience in handling and storage of supplies or merchandise on a computer data base system.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with inventory coordination, vendor relations, purchasing processes, electronic inventory systems, and inventory reporting.
