WYOMING COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO HOST RIBBON CUTTING FOR THE CREAMERY AT BURLEY BERRIES AND BLOOMS

Description

The Wyoming County Chamber & Tourism office will be hosting a ribbon cutting for The Creamery at Burley Berries and Blooms, located at 6335 Route 20A E, Warsaw NY, on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 4:00 PM. In 2017, Megan and Ryan Burley built a small farm stand as well as added you pick flowers, starting out as a 1/2 acre you pick strawberry patch with retails sales out of a 10x10 tent. In 2020, they started an on-farm Fruit and Flower CSA, adding more fruits, and new value-added products including, cow milk soap and jams. They have since added milk to their current offerings given its complementary nature to fruit. Megan found the perfect way to highlight the fruit and milk together and this began the idea to create a creamery. In 2022, they built the creamery and began bottling milk in 2023. The farm fresh milk is supplied from grass fed cows at East Hill Farms. The milk is then vat-pasteurized, which is a low-temperature method allowing the milk’s natural flavor, enzymes and texture to be preserved. Tours of the farm as well as a preview of the creamery will be available following the ribbon cutting. Details are below, the media and public are welcome and encouraged to attend.
