THE WYOMING COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND THE WARSAW CHAMBER OF COMMERECE WILL HOST A RIBBON CUTTING TO CELEBRATE THE 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF SPOTLIGHT THEATER IN WARSAW

The Wyoming County Chamber & Tourism office will be joined by the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce to host a ribbon cutting for Spotlight Theater, located at 23 South Main Street, Warsaw NY, on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 10:00 AM. The Spotlight Theater, owned and operated by Scott and Tami Treutlein, opened 10 years ago on Thanksgiving weekend to a sold-out crowd of 300 moviegoers for Disney's iconic movie Frozen. After only one year in business Spotlight updated the location from one to three movie screens. They also updated to digital projection, new audio, added the new screens and new seats in the theaters. Their latest addition was moving to Laser 4k projection a year ago to all movie screens. Two years ago, they also added new Spotlight Gourmet Popcorn available at the theater for gifts, and sold at shops and farm stands around the county. Spotlight also created a sensory showing format for all new releases of PG & PG-13 movies that they have shared with other theaters to use. Spotlight Theater is one of the initial supporting businesses of the Autism Nature Trail and an annual business supporter of the YMCA community fund. Through the Variety Gold Heart program, Spotlight raised money for an adaptive bike for families to use at the Wyoming YMCA. Spotlight Theater has also carried on annual traditions of showing Rocky Horror Picture Show, and inviting families to visit with Santa and a free showing of the holiday movie Polar Express on December 23rd. Spotlight Theater will have giveaways leading up to the ribbon cutting/anniversary day for top fans and loyalty members. All day Saturday, November 25th, they will have free popcorn for loyalty members, $10 concession specials for 10 years, and special $6 movie ticket pricing.
